Babolat and Automobili Lamborghini, world leaders in their respective sectors and creators of iconic brands, have announced a pioneering collaboration to produce exclusive padel rackets.
The prototype of the first padel racket model "BL001," which will be manufactured in an extremely limited series of just 50 units, was unveiled this past Saturday during the Lamborghini Arena event at the Imola Circuit, in the presence of Éric Babolat, CEO of Babolat, and Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.
The first result of this partnership will be a completely new unisex padel rackets, the "BL001," available in five colors -auge yellow, viper green, livrea orange, pasifae violet, and gea green- and manufactured in the birthplace of composite material production masters, Sant'Agata Bolognese, near Bologna (Italy), where the headquarters of Automobili Lamborghini are located.
Although Babolat already uses carbon materials for manufacturing its padel rackets, the "BL001" will benefit from Automobili Lamborghini's expertise in mastering the use of carbon fiber in automotive production. Inspired by the chassis of super sports cars, the racket has been designed using a single rigid peripheral frame, which acts as the structure of a cockpit and allows for total control of the racket. The "BL001", created with this extremely rigid monocoque peripheral frame, optimizes the deformation of the hitting zone. The monocoque design, extending to the grip, allows the hand to be in direct contact with the padel's "chassis", ensuring perfect control of the racket and absolute comfort, while providing exceptional power and ball speed.
The technical conception and design of the "BL001" are the result of a close collaboration between the technical teams of Babolat and Automobili Lamborghini over a period of almost 6 months. This development is based on an ultra-precise and 100% artisanal process. Subsequently, Babolat experts conducted the corresponding tests, both on the court and in the laboratory, as is done with every new racket.

BABOLAT AND AUTOMOBILI LAMBORGHINI BL002 - BL003: COMING SOON TO THE MARKET
By 2025, Babolat will produce two more rackets from its Padel Studio, near Barcelona, as a result of this partnership with Automobili Lamborghini. These rackets are named "BL002" and "BL003", and both will be distributed to the general public. They will also greatly benefit from the technology and carbon fiber used in the "BL001."
