This is Padel Easy, the new artificial grass installation system for padel courts by Realturf

  • September 17, 2024

Since its iception, Realturf has been committed to innovation with a circular focus—improving product quality, production systems, and clients' quality of life, all while minimizing environmental impact. Thanks to the expansion of its production capacity at Realturf Factory in Crevillente in late 2021, Realturf has achieved significant milestones, such as the Padel Easy system, a new artificial grass installation system for padel courts that will revolutionize court installations by saving time, seams, and materials.

Padel Easy is based on a specific configuration of artificial grass rolls:

  • 1 roll A measuring 5 x 14 meters with line
  • 1 roll B measuring 5 x 14 meters without line
  • 1 roll C measuring 3 x 20 meters without line

Previously, artificial grass was produced in rolls 2 and 4 meters wide. Thanks to this new production system, which can weave 5-meter-wide rolls, we now have a major advancement, particularly in the manufacturing of sports artificial turf for padel.

This system aligns with the official dimensions of a padel court (10 meters wide by 20 meters long), improving the installation by reducing the number of seams and increasing the speed and efficiency of court installations.

What advantages does the Pádel Easy system offer?

Padel Easy is especially beneficial for artificial grass installers, particularly for padel courts. With this system, installers can enjoy the following benefits:

  • Time savings: Over 3 hours saved on the installation of a court.
  • Reduced joint tape usage: 50% less joint tape needed.
  • Reduced adhesive usage: 50% less adhesive required.
  • Reduced seams: 50% fewer seams overall.

These installation savings also benefit sports clubs that install padel courts with the Pádel Easy system:

  • Faster court usage: Courts will be ready for use sooner, allowing clubs to start recouping their investment more quickly.
  • Increased court durability: Joints are often the weak point of padel courts. By reducing the number of seams, court durability is increased.

How to install Padel Easy?

Here are the steps for installing a court using the new Pádel Easy system:

  • Lay out rolls A and B: These rolls cover the area between the service lines. Start by laying out roll A, which includes the center line, then roll B on the other half of the court.
  • Cut roll C in half: This roll is placed at both ends of the court. Cut it in half and position each piece at the respective ends.
  • Trim the excess: The rolls are designed to fully cover the court, often exceeding the perimeter. Trim the excess around the perimeter and joints for a perfect fit.
  • Secure the seams: You’ll need less than half the joint tape and about one 12 kg can of adhesive with 34 meters of tape.
  • Add silica sand infill and brush: Spread the silica sand infill and brush the court to create a smooth surface. This helps with ball performance and temperature control on the court.
