HEAD, official ball of the LAPI league

  • November 07, 2024

HEAD and the International Amateur Padel League (LAPI) have signed a sponsorship agreement, making the new HEAD PADEL PRO+ the official ball for all LAPI competitions. Additionally, HEAD will have its own booth for product testing activities at the regional playoffs, as well as at the national and international final masters. In return, the LAPI League will promote activities aimed at boosting the brand in league-hosting clubs, including clinics, exhibitions, and product testing, among other initiatives.

The NACEX LAPI League, managed through the Padel&Padel platform by Madison, boasts over 25,000 amateur padel enthusiasts, more than 320 clubs, and has organized over 31,000 matches and bookings annually. This amateur team competition includes multiple regions in Spain, such as Castilla y León, Andalusia, and the northern and central areas.

The LAPI League has firmly established itself on the national stage. For the 2023-2024 season, it was held across 22 provinces and featured more than 8,000 players.

For Ricky Brigolle Fernández, product manager of racquet sports at HEAD Spain, this recent partnership with the LAPI League is a significant opportunity. “It’s a great pleasure to collaborate with the LAPI League and their team, especially with their driving force, Borja Alcalde. Being the official ball of this amateur league allows us to reach thousands of players who regularly engage in our sport. This way, our brand-new HEAD PADEL PRO+ ball will reach hundreds of clubs and thousands of matches. We hope this collaboration will last for many years and expand to as many regions as possible.”

Borja Alcalde Pelayo, director of Padel&Padel at Madison MK, commented on the partnership, “HEAD has positioned itself as a major reference in the world of padel, and thanks to its R&D, it has proven to be the best ball choice among other brands.” He added, “We are very excited about this decision and hope the partnership will thrive and continue for a long time.”

The shared goal between the brand and the amateur circuit is to keep growing together and expand their influence on the international stage, bringing their passion and professionalism to new horizons.
