Siux, the Spanish company specializing in padel, is launching the second edition of its BEAT range, specifically designed to meet the needs of players who are just starting out in the sport. These beginner-level rackets are extremely comfortable and easy to handle, providing excellent ball output thanks to their oversized sweet spot, achieved through the use of fiberglass.
This year, the range consists of three models -Control 2, Hybrid 2, and Hybrid Air 2- all featuring new molds with a glossy finish.
First, the BEAT Control 2 has a round shape, low balance, and a weight ranging from 355 to 375 grams. It is a control-oriented racket designed for a unisex audience.
On the other hand, Siux specialists have developed a new hybrid mold with a teardrop shape, featured in the Hybrid 2 and Hybrid Air 2 models. The BEAT Hybrid 2, designed for male players, has a medium balance and weighs between 355 and 375 grams. Meanwhile, the BEAT Hybrid Air 2, aimed at female players, is slightly lighter (between 340 and 360 grams), with a medium balance and a slightly softer rubber.
New rackets for young players
A major addition this year is the introduction of two models specifically designed for younger players, differentiated by age: BEAT Junior and BEAT Kid.
The BEAT Junior model is designed for players between 8 and 12 years old, who have outgrown smaller rackets but still struggle with full-sized adult models. It has a 35mm thickness, overall dimensions of 44 x 22.5 cm, and a grip size of 23 x 28 mm, with a lighter weight of 320 to 345 grams. With a round shape, it is designed to provide extra control.
The BEAT Kid model is specifically developed for players under 8 years old. It is a highly compact racket, featuring a 32mm width, dimensions of 43 x 25 cm, and the same grip size as the Junior model, but with a reduced weight of 300 to 330 grams.
Both models are made entirely of fiberglass, including both the hitting surface and the tubular frame, and feature an ultra-soft rubber to provide maximum assistance to young players.
"Padel continues to grow as a sport, gaining more and more enthusiasts each year. Regardless of age, physique, or skill level, our mission is to provide every type of player with the racket they need," says Stefano Barbero, Product Director at Siux. "The new BEAT range is here to meet the needs of beginner players who are entering the exciting world of padel, and we hope they stay with us for a long time," he concludes.
