Learn all about subsidies for the digital transformation of Spanish companies and SMEs

The Spanish Government, leveraging Next Generation EU funds, has launched two subsidies aimed at enhancing the digital transformation of companies and self-employed professionals across the country. These initiatives are the Kit Digital and Kit Consulting, each with its own regulations and application processes.

Application Process

In general, the steps to apply for both subsidies are as follows:

• Application submission: Submit your application to be considered for the subsidy.

• Agent or consultant selection: Once the subsidy is granted, the beneficiary must select a digital agent (Kit Digital) or a digital consultant (Kit Consulting).

• Agreement signing: Sign a collaboration agreement with the agent or consultant, detailing the planned actions and associated costs.

• Implementation and reporting: For the Kit Digital, the digital agent will carry out the proposed actions and subsequently justify them in compliance with the subsidy regulations. For the Kit Consulting, the digital consultant will guide the entire digital transformation process and later report on the actions undertaken.

It’s important to note that if the planned actions align with the maximum subsidy amounts, the digital agent or consultant will issue an invoice for the total amount. The beneficiary will only need to pay the VAT, while the remaining amount will be directly reimbursed to the authorized agents or consultants by the administration.

Subsidy Amounts

The subsidy amount depends on the average number of employees the company or self-employed applicant has had over the past 12 months at the time of application.
