The International Padel Cluster (CIP) was present at ISPO Munich 2024, Europe’s largest sports fair, held from December 3 to 5. Despite initial skepticism from padel industry professionals about the ISPO Padel Village, it emerged as one of the event’s standout pavilions, highlighting the global growth and potential of padel as both a sport and a booming market.
For the third consecutive year, ISPO Munich hosted an exclusive padel area, the ISPO Padel Village, where CIP participated with a stand. Exhibiting brands were arranged around a padel court -installed by AFP Courts- where professional players performed continuous exhibitions, and brands showcased their products. The court featured a Lounge Area that served as a welcoming space for professional clients and as a venue for talks, panel discussions, and networking opportunities hosted by CIP and other exhibitors.
In the Lounge Area, on Wednesday, December 4, at 12:00 PM, CIP held a two-part press conference.CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEO

Industry highlights
Each year, Playtomic publishes the Global Padel Report, offering a detailed analysis of the sport’s global growth and trends.
The report examines the behavior and dynamics of padel players, focusing on the practice of the sport and their motivations for engaging in it. According to Playtomic, the primary reason people start playing padel is for fun.
The report also highlights the growth of the sport, analyzing the number of new courts built over the past year, which concluded with 5,816 new courts across Europe (+16%), averaging 111 new padel courts constructed each week.
Regarding the distribution of padel courts, it is notable that the majority are located in Spain (16,126), Italy (8,347), and France (2,179), while some of the countries where the sport is growing and gaining ground include Germany (556), the United Kingdom (489), and the United States (454).
The second edition of the Padel World Summit
Next, Alex Ponseti, Managing Director of the Padel World Summit, took the floor to present what will once again be CIP’s flagship event, set to take place next year in collaboration with Fira de Barcelona.
Ponseti shared the key figures from the first edition of the Padel World Summit, held last May in Málaga, where more than 4,000 visitors from 77 countries attended, including 55 investment funds, 140 exhibiting brands, and 5 padel courts.
Subsequently, he announced the location and date of the second edition of the event, which will be held in the city of Barcelona from May 27-29, 2025, in the same space where the world-renowned Mobile World Congress is held.
Finally, Ponseti provided information on the four axes on which the Padel World Summit will focus:
At the end of the press conference, there was a networking snack at the CIP stand, to which all the Spanish exhibitors who attended ISPO under the umbrella of the association were also invited through AFYDAD. The networking allowed to establish relationships with the rest of the participants with common professional interests, generating business opportunities.
