On March 25th, the Board of Directors of the International Padel Cluster (CIP) announced the postponement of its 5th General Assembly, which was originally scheduled for April 1st, 2025, at the Auditorium Hall of ICEX in Madrid. It has now been confirmed that the new date will be Tuesday, April 29th, 2025, and it will take place at the same venue.
The event, which will feature the participation of authorities and institutional bodies, will begin with a welcome address from ICEX The opening speech will be delivered by the Higher Sports Council (CSD), with the intervention of Félix Jordán, General Director of the Youth Sports Foundation.
Next, a representative from the International Padel Federation (FIP) will speak, followed by a presentation on sports and tourism by Andrés de la Dehesa, President of AFYDAD - SPAIN IS SPORT.
Later, Mireia Álvarez, President of the CIP, will present the Presidency Report, followed by Alex Pardo, Second Vice President and Head of the CIP’s Equipment Division, who will deliver the Financial Report. During this session, the 2024 financial statements and the 2025 budget will be submitted for approval. There will also be a review of the CIP’s activities and achievements over the past year, highlighting key milestones and challenges overcome. Additionally, the 2025 action plan will be presented, outlining new initiatives aimed at promoting the growth and internationalization of padel worldwide.
After a coffee break, Jorge Caña, First Vice President and Head of the CIP’s Courts Division, will discuss the potential transition of the UNE Standard to ISO Standard. Subsequently, the new CIP members will present their brands.
Later, Alex Ponseti, CIP Board Member and Managing Director of the Padel World Summit, will provide updates on the second edition of the largest international event for padel industry professionals, scheduled to take place from May 27th to 29th, 2025, in Barcelona. Following this, Martina Claus, Head of Firamunich, will discuss the Padel Village at ISPO Munich.
After the Q&A session, Jaume Ferrer, CIP’s Technical Secretary/Coordinator, will present the latest DataPadel insights. The Assembly will conclude with a finger lunch, offering attendees the opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen relationships within the padel industry.
