Last Friday, July 26, during the FIP European Padel Championships and in the presence of the president of the International Padel Federation (FIP), Luigi Carraro, representatives from the federations of 31 countries (Germany, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Vatican City, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, France, Georgia, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Principality of Monaco, San Marino, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, and Ukraine) met and decided to proceed with the creation of 'Padel Europe', a new continental entity within the FIP -headquartered in Spain- with the goal of strengthening our sport on both a continental and global level.
"I am very happy and grateful to the European member countries of the FIP for their support of this initiative. 'Padel Europe' is born in the name of the same harmony, unanimity in key decisions, and unity of purpose demonstrated at the last FIP General Assembly in Asunción, Paraguay. And not only that: the goals achieved, the increasingly evident expansion of our sport in the name of a common horizon, show how every new initiative undertaken by the International Padel Federation is the result of total unity and mutual trust," commented the president of the FIP, Luigi Carraro.
At the end of the meeting, the representatives of the countries who proceeded with the establishment of 'Padel Europe' emphasized: "This new entity, born within the FIP and open to all those European federations of the FIP that wish to join, comes to life with the intention of greater coordination among the European member countries of the FIP and with the goal of a common strengthening of our sport."
