  • August 02, 2024

The Padel Federation of the Valencian Community (FPCV) and the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FVMP) have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at promoting padel as a local and regional economic driver in Valencian municipalities.

The signing event took place today, attended by Mr. Miguel Bailach, Secretary General of the FVMP, and Mr. Alfonso Monferrer, President of the FPCV. Both highlighted the three main pillars of the agreement:

  • Encouraging and promoting the use of padel courts: Promote padel as a sports offering and a tourist attraction, especially in rural areas.
  • Training of coaches: Implement specific programs to train coaches who will lead local and regional projects.
  • Assistance and cooperation with municipal technicians: Support municipal technicians in managing facilities, creating base schools, and organizing competitions, allowing citizens from all municipalities to develop as athletes.

Currently, the FPCV is developing training and technical improvement projects for young players, both in the Valencian Community and Europe, through the Erasmus+ Sport projects. This knowledge will be made available to all Valencian municipalities, allowing the Community to lead the growth of padel.

This agreement also aims to attract numerous foreign players who wish to train and enjoy Valencian municipalities, as well as provide local youth with the opportunity to develop a professional career internationally. With this initiative, the Valencian Community positions itself as a benchmark in promoting padel, strengthening its local and regional economy through sport.
