  • November 04, 2024

Premier Padel has issued a statement providing further information about the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Finals, scheduled to take place from December 19 to 22, 2024, in Barcelona. In this tournament, the top 16 players across the men’s and women’s competitions will battle it out to be crowned champions.

On one hand, Premier Padel has announced that the top 16 players will be decided by the “FIP Race Ranking” -a points-based ranking system- which considers an individual player’s FIP ranking points and performances during the 2024 season across both Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour and Cupra FIP Tour tournaments. This ranking is determined by each individual player's best 22 results by FIP ranking points – from across all 23 Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour tournaments and over 150 Cupra FIP Tour tournaments during the 2024 season.

The final 16 players eligible to participate in the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Finals will be the first 16 players classified in the FIP Race Ranking following the conclusion of the Milano Premier Padel P1 on 8 December 2024.

Additionally, Premier Padel has confirmed that the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Finals will distribute equal prize money and FIP Ranking points across both the men’s and women’s competitions from a total prize money pool of 600,000€.

Full details of FIP ranking points and prize money in both the men’s and women’s competition can be found in the table below:

Furthermore, for the first time ever, the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Finals will also include a third-place playoff match between the losing semi-finalists, which will be played immediately before the finals on the last day of the competition. This addition was made in agreement with the Professional Padel Association (PPA) and the International Padel Players Association (IPPA), reflecting a collaborative effort to enhance the competition's appeal and provide more thrilling matchups for fans.
